What is a Chemical Peel?
We have an incredible and diverse line of professional peels by Glytone. These peels have a special formulation designed for a variety of places like the face, back, hands, neck, chest (decolletage), and the delicate area around your eyes and lips. The chemicals kill all the old skin cells and as days pass after the treatment you will notice peeling. The peeling process is all the skin cells falling off to show clean and vibrate skin! We have 4 different chemical peels that can target fine lines from acne to sunspots. Swing in and we will help you choose the best peel for your skin.
What is the Process?
First, make sure you stop using any exfoliants or glycolic products a couple of days before your appointment. These can cause more irritation than normal if these products are continued right up to the appointment. First, we need a clean surface to apply the peel. We use a gentle cleanser to wash the skin and remove any dirt that has settled on the skin. We then use a prep cloth that removes any extra grim that may have been missed during washing. We begin to brush on the chemical peel to the area. The peel has a consistency of water so it will feel noticeably light on your skin. You will begin to feel a slight burning on your skin but that is very normal. This burning is the peel working its way deep into your skin to remove old skin cells. Once the peel is applied, we will let that sit for about 15-20 mins to ensure the peel has enough time to do its magic. We remove the peel with a cloth that has a neutralizing effect on the peel. We then pat your face dry, and you are on your way! Chemical peels take a couple of days to show the lasting effects, you will see your skin begin to peel but will brighten and clear up with 7 days.
